[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:430px][justify][size=7pt]A slight smile curled her lips at the happy reunion for a lot had been happening lately and t was good to see that the negative which seemed to be contained within each day was put aside even if it was only for a few moments, drawing closer to those who had come to greet the returner. Seeing as everything was done she decided it would be best to stay quiet for the moment, allowing her gaze to drift down towards her paws which she shifted uncomfortably, feeling the grains of sand move with these simple movements.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:430px][justify][size=7pt]Time had come to escape her these past few days, each one coming to melt into the other and it had been distressing for the child to find that she did not know what was happening, that somehow the words of King had come to prove a bigger influence then she thought. She had set out earlier than either of the other two, her journey longer for she had to traverse the desert terrain she called home to reach the right spot, fatigue tugging at her but she pushed on. Fear had clouded her mind for the short time she had been alive and she was sick of it, if there was anything that could get rid of King she was happy to try. Lately his efforts to kill her had been rather limited though she had come to go through days at a time and never remember a single thing, from rising in the morning to lying down to sleep in the evening, something that scared her greatly. And the shadow toned beast had come to track her every movement in the days she had held control yet those few had been touched with fatigue and worry, her actions made in auto-pilot for it took all her strength simply to get through the day.

As it was the child had come to position herself at the edge of the desert, her back facing the spares trees which showed the end of the Dominion’s land and her golden vision had been lifted, taking in the moon and the splattering of stars that surrounded it. The wolf had come to feel so alone these past few days and had not slept well, if at all, her dreams containing nothing more than the terrible visions that king wished her to see, though something had broken through. Like the others she had been gifted a vision of the white felidae and orange hued tiger within their meeting, though the words were inaudible she felt excitement. Possibly these two men would be able to help her, would be a solution to the pain she felt in each day. Surprise was etched onto her face as she slowly came to turn around at the gentle sound of someone approaching, the sand shifting beneath their weight which was a sound she had become well tuned to, swallowing heavily. She knew this was one of those she waited for but he seemed different, where he had harboured the old scars within her vision he was whole now, standing tall and looking over her with hard eyes coloured like blood. Now she was unsure if she should have come but they were here so there was no point in turning away, help was needed for them all and they might possibly receive it here. “Hello, I take it you are the one known as Hallelujah? I am Valkari, though I guess you know that already.”

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:430px][justify][size=7pt]The gesture was rather surprising when she came to watch the much large form of Solanum sit by her, yet the weight of his arm resting across her was strangely familiar, comfortable as it were, and she could not help but let the smile grow. Though rather stupid she had found his first statement to be amusing to some degree and could not help the smile, though she kept the laughter caged for it did not seem right in that moment. Now she easily drew herself closer to him and rested her weight against his broad chest, feeling the last ounces of her strength ebb away. Swallowing against the lump which seemed to obscure her throat Valkari drew her gaze up to take in the stoic figure of Hallelujah, the feline surprisingly offering no words and his face was clear, but she thought she saw something in those eyes for a mere moment. “W-what do you need me-“ These words trailed off with the sound of a gasp which tore past her lips in a rush for she was the one to witness the sudden entrance of King, the shadows seemingly thickening and gathering together, forming that seemingly canine creature which haunted her, had caused so much pain to her in a short time. “He’s here, h-he was not meant t-to be here…” Her voice trailed away into silence and she was unable to finish her sentence, turning to bury her face deep into the fluff which coated Solanum’s chest.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:430px][justify][size=7pt]Taking a chance she was surprised to find that she trusted Hallelujah entirely and was unafraid as she come to rise, following after him as quickly as she possibly could but she easily slipped behind, her pace so much slower. Her breathes became rugged and wheezing, burning as they filled her lungs but she had to continue on of possibly come to face king once more, something she did not want to do in her current state, or at all for that matter. Time was against her though and she easily tripped, the tumble surprising and she lay sprawled out for a moment, dazed for she had slammed her head into the ground rather hard in the fall. Struggling to rise once more she failed a few times before she was able to stand only to find it all too late, King had come to bypass Solanum and quickly covered the ground in long strides.

Her jaws parted and from within a loud cry was shed, a single sound that harboured all her pain and regret as the youth fell forward once more, the thick smoke of the demon swarming her, deadening all of her senses. All along King had simply wanted to take over and that is what he had done, a single touch all it took to bond the two, becoming a single being though it ended badly for Valkari. Now that they had joined her mind simply shut down, forcing her into a coma like state in which she was stuck, for how long was not something that could be determined.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:430px][justify][size=7pt]She had not known that Melantha had been gone, in truth she had been rather unsure herself since the time she had come to return, the rather sudden death of her mother had torn her up quite badly along with the voices which flooded her head, pushing her to do things that shew as not comfortable with. Yet she forced herself to come forward for the other was a part of her family in every way except for name it seemed, a smile turning her lips up as she looked up at the fire toned wolf. Valkari could not bring herself to speak though, simply looked upon the older canine with joy in the depths of her golden toned eyes, glad to see that she was back even though the knowledge of her capture had not reached the child, it was simply good to see that she was fine.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:430px][justify][size=7pt]The time of which was found in youth was a rather boring time for little could be done, restrictions were put within place to keep one safe yet she had gone against them time and time again, the sight of the bodies had stopped all that though. Before she had not felt afraid to leave, had taken the time to sneak out within the night when she found it possible to stay awake for so long, seeking the world outside of this place, it was those mutilated corpses and the bones that had long since been picked clean that had left the want to explore to die. She knew what could happen out there but had never believed it, had not wanted to, until it had come after her and now she kept to herself where once she found joy in company, simply spending her days moving about the Capital though now she felt the stirrings of loneliness. She was not made to be cooped up, to find peace within solitude, it was not something she came to enjoy within the slightest and she was all too happy to fine that she was not alone today.

Slowly the wolf pup came to draw closer to the pair though she was cautious in this action for it seemed they had already started a conversation and she did not wish to disturb them, offering a slight smile. “Hello,” Valkari murmured softly once she was close enough, chewing upon her lip for a time and focusing her gaze on the grains of sand about her paws, not wishing to meet either of their eyes.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:430px][justify][size=7pt]“I’m Valkari, sorry to interrupt your conversation, I didn’t mean to,” the young Mortis muttered softly though she finally allowed her gaze to lift, her smile strengthening somewhat as she took in Sita, still rather nervous but she was slowly becoming used to the presence of the others. It seemed her time away had not helped much in the way of her rather lacking social skills, though the lioness seemed rather welcoming and kind. “I’ve been better before, but I can’t really complain. How are you this fine day?” These words were spoken in regard to the first question though she decided it might be best not to tell the whole truth, the matter of her mother’s death and what had happened while she had been away had been rather traumatising for her and she did not wish to speak about it, at least not for the moment.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:430px][justify][size=7pt]“Anything they want,” Val softly whispered these words once she came to stand besides Sita in response of her question that seemed to have been drowned out for the moment, keeping her gaze upon the disgruntled figure of the Windclanner for she knew that they would do anything within their power to torture the poor soul. He might possibly become just another mutilated corpse which would be placed upon the border or maybe a sign to others not to dare come after them, possibly he would come to find a way to escape though which was to come to pass was hard to tell. All she hoped was that he wouldn’t be hurt too much, though she had lived her for the short time of her life there was still that hate of violence, of that want to see that it all ended but such dreams were childish and never to happen. “It might not seem like it but this is not a kind place, prisoners are tortured in one way or the other, that is what we do.” She recited these words as if she had remembered them off by heart in which she had, in such situations as this every ounce of her true self seemed to vanish, gone as she came to sit through such scenes for it was what she must do, the world was tough and she had to learn that lesson even if it killed her to do so.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:430px][justify][size=7pt]“Not if you don’t want to, there are always those who don’t torture prisoners, some who simply do it for the sport,” it was this latter kind that she rather disliked, their apparent love of hearing the screams of those they brought down making her fear them and light the fire of hate within her, yet it was something you had to get used to here. Such a path was not something that she was to go along as she grew, there was other things that she preferred to do but killing was not in there, it was something she had to work in there someway though.

Slowly a smile formed and she looked towards Sita and felt some joy that another was like her, not wanting to hurt someone yet still they proved willing to do it, if such a matter came up and it was that of a life or death situation she would do anything to keep her loved ones safe, but such things as torture? It made the lupine sick to the stomach to think about it and she had thought that everyone here had been happy with it, that they would go along with everyone else like mindless sheep in a flock where she stood out, the black one who wanted nothing to do with it. “Remember, you always have a choice, no matter what it is you always have the chance to just say no, even to this.”

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:430px][justify][size=7pt]“I would like to be a member of the telepathy branch, please,” the young lupine spoke softly in this for she was still unsure of her rather sudden ability, it was all so confusing to her and the mass of voices which flooded her head upon a daily bases had become too much, if there was any way for her to learn to control the power, to somehow hone it to be used as a weapon, than she would gladly take it.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:430px][justify][size=7pt]She knew how easy it was to lose control of the odd little power, the morning she had realized she had it had been rather frightening for she had found herself covered within a mass of roses which had been rather painful with all those damn thorns, but she had finally found a way to control it, or at least start to. Now, as each slow step came to draw her nearer to the small group, her own steps came to form tiny bundles of rich green grass where the silver toned paws met the fine grains of sand, some sprouting rather delicate looking flowers here and there, though each drew back after a few seconds. It wasn’t the most useful of abilities, that was something all could easy tell by simply watching someone use it, but it entertained the child greatly and she loved having the chance to make flowers whenever she wanted. “Sorry, I can’t help very much, I am still learning to control it myself,” Val offered up with a soft smile, though she was rather unsure as she watched the veins grow, curling about the rather disgruntled jaglion’s extremities and holding her in place for the moment. It would be easy to cut them apart and free her but they would most likely continue to grow, it really was up to Abigail to make them stop and disappear once more or it would simply continue to happen.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:430px][justify][size=7pt]“She is a part of the clan,” her words were gentle for she did not wish to awaken the other child for the voices of the two who had come to stumble across her had aroused the senses of the lupine, drawing her closer for sleep was something she rarely found any longer, the midnight treks she made through the desert ever increasing. Upon pale lips a smile had come to curl for she had come to speak with the cub one a few occasions before though it seemed the others were not so trusting to believe that she was one of them, but she bite down on her tongue to keep the laughter that threatened to come, looking over the larger pair of felidae with amused golden eyes.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:430px][justify][size=7pt]Company, or most people within general, came to leave the child rather uneasy and such a situation as this, where many others came to move closer and converse, left that heavy feeling to sink into the pit of her stomach. But it was that feeling of being looked upon, of eyes tracing her movement, that left her breathless and scared in which she came to turn sharply, letting her gaze drift up to the leopard though she dared not catch her eye. The connection she held to this other was unknown upon her part and so she did not speak a word, rather, she busied herself with coming to move closer once Sita revealed herself, rather comforted to have someone at least slight familiar about. Once she would have derived such from her family whom seemed always to be around the place but now, well, it seemed they had gone as well when her dear mother had died, never had she simply seen them just moving about the Capital. With this it was unsurprising the child chose another that she felt comfortable around, that she came to be close to and Sita filled that spot, a friend to the lupine though their time together had been short.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:430px][justify][size=7pt]Blood. That thick crimson liquid in which life can not continue if it is absent that fed a fire with some while it drenched that of others, it came to tell apart the monsters prepared to do anything they could to survive to those too scared to even contemplate such matters. Slow, steady steps drew the child closer and an easy smile curled about her lips for she had learnt that lesson early, it was do or die out here and she was not about to lie down and let someone just take everything from her, enough had been stolen away, now it was her turn to take it all back. Picking the rather small frame of a doe from the mass the skin broke apart easily beneath her teeth, slowly strengthening and filing out as she aged to make sharpened points, the thick and coppery tang of blood flooding her senses. It took a bit of struggle to get the body to the edge of the Nile for it was more than twice Valkari’s body weight even if it was still quite young in its death, tearing at the throat once she had it positioned. With a rather loud squelch of skin tearing apart from the muscle that had once held it in place her head snapped back, a bloody segment of the corpse coming away and blood trickling from the injury.

It was hard to tell how long the body had been in this state and the heart had surely stopped pumping a long time ago, which meant the blood would have gathered about within the stomach for it was the heaviest part and had been upon the ground, the heavy discolouration showing this to be true. Grasping one of the spindly legs she dragged it round until the belly was also present by the Nile, clamouring on top so she wouldn’t accidently fall in. This time she worked on the thick muscle over the stomach, tearing at it with her teeth for her claws were not the best, they had not been made for tearing as her teeth had, the procedure taking some time. Finally, though, a wide and rather messy gash had been formed and blood spilled forth, her lips decorated within a smile, showing her blood coated teeth.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:430px][justify][size=7pt]She had little to say within this regard of the promotions though still she moved forward, pace slow and steady in which drew the lupine ever closer. “Congratulations,” she whispered the single word and forced a smile to take center place upon her lips though it took all her strength to keep it there, indeed Valkari was happy for those who had been promoted but it was hard to show, things had been rather down lately so at least something good was needed now more than ever.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:430px][justify][size=7pt]The child proved unsure of her surroundings, each tentative step which drew her closer to the waves small and lacking the courage she once had held like a mask, a frown evident through the long strands of blond hair which covered her face, hiding it from view. Within her hands a tiny flower was clutched and this she fiddled with, drawing the long stem through her fingers a few times before twisting it about them, completing this action a few times. Unlike the others she had come to adore herself within a simple white sundress for she had no want to go into the water, though it was tempting with the heat of the sun baking her pale skin. Slowly she moved closer to the salt tinged waves and her feet soon became enveloped within the liquid, her toes digging into the wet sand as she looked about, seeking a familiar face though seeing none. All at once Valkari wanted nothing more than to leave this place and find someone that she knew, yet, within the moments she came to simply stand there, the water gentle lapping at her ankles, she felt at peace. They might come later and then she might speak with her family, this was the only thing that held her in place and kept that want to stay alive, her lips drawing back into the barest hints of a smile.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:430px][justify][size=7pt]Uncertainty had seemed to become a common sight within the child and it was shown so clearly within her step, each dragging shuffle she performed revealing her reluctance to come closer for she knew none of those present, yet this did not quill her curiosity, it seemed nothing but the answer would do that. “What happened to your leg?” A rather blunt question, to be sure, but she voiced the inquiry within the thought of simply wanting to know for she had not seen someone with a metal leg before, it was all to interesting an opportunity to pass up. All too quickly, though, the lupine came to realize that this might be perceived as rude but she didn’t know how to make it come off differently, rather, she opted to simply introduce herself cause she had no idea what else to say. “Oh, uh, I’m Valkari Mortis.”

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:430px][justify][size=7pt]Darling, the name was familiar and it did not come to help as it registered within her mind for it had been the last name of her mother, within that the truth to show that this person was family in some way coming to light. “Friedrice,” she mumbled the word softly beneath her breath as her path towards those assembled shortened, testing it and rather liking it though it was an odd name, a smile slowly drawing itself across her features. “Hi I’m Valkari Mortis, but most call me Val.”

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:430px][justify][size=7pt]“Obby,” though short this single word held a lot of emotion for the young lupine, in truth it had been quite some time since she had last had any contact with her family and she had begun to worry though she knew they were all busy with their own things, but such thoughts didn’t come to help much nor hold the comfort she needed. Her steps were slow and tentative as she moved closer yet, once she had completed closing the distance between herself and the still figure of Obliterate, excitement and joy bubbled within her, a mixture that drove her forward once more. This time, though, it was more of a rather clumsy pounce which Valkari came to perform, moving in an attempt to embrace her brother within a hug.
